Publishing overview

Publishing submits your competition for review and makes it eligible for display on Sofascore.

Publishing:

  • Can be done only once
  • Is irreversible
  • Moves all entities connected to the competition into the Pending status

After publishing, you can continue working in Torneo, but any new or edited entities will have to follow the same review process.

Keep in mind: Publishing does not guarantee immediate visibility on Sofascore. All data must first pass review, and incomplete or inaccurate data will slow the process down. We are committed to legitimacy and accuracy, and we reserve the right to publish only legitimate and verifiable competitions.

Before you publish (quick checklist)

Before clicking Publish, take a moment to confirm the following:

  • Your competition name, sport, and country are correct and final
  • All required teams and players have been added
  • Player names and dates of birth are accurate and not placeholders
  • Any available public proof (link or document) has been added
  • No critical items are marked as "Needs review" in the Publish view

Publishing is a one-time action. Taking a few minutes to review these points can save you a significant amount of time and prevent you from submitting incorrect data.

Common mistakes during publishing

  • Publishing before adding essential teams, players, or matches
  • Ignoring items marked as "Needs review" in the Publish view
  • Assuming rejected entities are deleted rather than requiring correction
  • Expecting to unpublish or reset the competition after submission
